About the club
We are a social club who welcome members of all abilities including total beginners. All dances are walked through before being danced.
There is no need to bring a partner as we all take turns at dancing with each other. Also, there is no need to wear Scottish apparel, but soft shoes or trainers are recommended - in due course, you may wish to buy some purpose-made soft dancing shoes.

Dances and events
- Social Nights- These are regular nights. taken by members of the club, that run from 8pm until 10pm with refreshments and biscuits served in the interval.
- Instruction Nights - These are taken by qualified teachers associated with the club. In these nights, steps and movements are practised and dances walked through slowly. Refreshments are served as per a Social Night.

- Burns' Dance - This is held in January as close to the 25th as possible, with a Haggis dinner (vegetarians and allergy's can be catered for) before dancing. Tickets are sold in the run up to this. The event starts at 8pm and finishes at 11pm.
- Spring Dance - This is held in March with live music. Please bring a plate of savoury finger food for a shared buffet, and the committee will provide puddings. The event starts at 8pm and finishes at 11pm.
